Reverse Marketing

Wouldn't it be nice to have your phone ringing with calls from potential prospects? Well it is a lot easier than you might think and there is nothing you need to buy, In fact it is a very simple strategy to implement.

When I first discovered this sales method I was skeptical, however it has become a key element in my overall marketing strategy for internet/home based businesses and it has repeatedly generated sales.

It's called Reverse Marketing. Essentially the strategy involves some simple research using online classified services. There are many to chose from (www.freeadscity.com - www.usnetads.com are a couple of examples). The great thing about these classified ad services is that they have Business Opportunity sections. I know from experience that you cannot place this type of ad on Kiiji or Craigslist in most cities, at least in Canada.

Take a close look at the Biz Opt ads. You will notice that you can contact the seller via email and often times the ad includes their phone number. Respond to the ad with an email - tell them you are interested but would like to know more. Include your phone number and ask them to call you. If you are comfortable making cold calls, then call them directly if the contact's phone number is included in the ad.

Guaranteed your phone will ring. The more of these ads you answer the more calls you will get. How do you respond to their calls? What do you say? This is the practice of reverse marketing (see details here). Once they call you and you have established a rapport you can begin to tell them about your experiences and what you are doing on line. Slowly move the conversation towards your products and services.

One of the products iSoMarketing represents is Passive Online Profits. I discovered the reverse marketing approach in one of their daily free training sessions. As I said earlier I was skeptical but I've seen it work time and time again. P.O.P is a product that can help any online marketer or home business person improve their sales so it is relatively easy for me to reverse the conversation, and roles during the call. My objective is simple: I want them to listen to the nightly conference call about P.O.P. I ask them to write down the number 712.432.3100 and the Code 181528 and the time 8:00PM every evening. I ask them to repeat the number and to call me (201.467.4846) or email me after they have heard the conference call. By doing this I have taken control of the conversation.

I have experienced considerable success with this marketing method by adding people to my prospect list and closing sales. Try it! It works and it will work for you.

Making the most of your knowledge.

Most internet marketers promote their products or services using two common strategies.

One is all about the money:
"Get in now for $14.99 and start earning $7,500/month!"
We've all seen this approach time and again, however its been done to death and tends to attract fewer and fewer people. I rarely pay any attention to an email or website making these promises and I'd bet that most of us do the same.

Two is all about the product:
"Once you try my product you won't be able to live without it!"
This is a common marketing technique made famous by Ron Popeil (Remember the Vegematic?).
I pay more attention to product information and will at least consider it if it enhances my personal or work life. Personally I only represent things that I find useful, time saving and/or money saving. This is an element I tend to stress in my marketing campaigns. If the product or service is simple and straight forward it tends to be easy to get the message across.

And now for something different.

Three is all about the learning:
Last week I learned how to increase the number of inlinks to my sites using iMacros with Firefox. It came in the form of a training video offered to subscribers to a program I promote. It was an eye-opener for me. I quickly applied my new knowledge to all of my sites and increased visibility dramatically.
I related this experience in an email my prospects about the program. I let them know that this little tid-bit of information was more than worth the sign-up price. I told them they could apply this knowledge to other programs they were involved in and how I had done the same. I let them know how excited I was about learning this valuable skill.
I shared a positive learning experience and got results. Something I will do more frequently now
